Intuit Dome, Inglewood
Intuit Dome · Inglewood
How a group gets to Intuit Dome in Inglewood together, uses the free shuttle Metro runs for Clippers games, and finds each other again afterwards. Written for the arena as it runs for games today, and to be re-checked for LA 2028 basketball.
Venue
Intuit Dome is a modern indoor arena in Inglewood, on West Century Boulevard, and the home arena of the Los Angeles Clippers. It was completed in 2024. LA28 lists it as an official venue for basketball at the 2028 Olympic Games, in its Inglewood zone. What follows describes how it runs for games today. Games-period transport and entrances are not confirmed here.
Gates & entry
The arena enforces a strict bag rule. Only clear bags no larger than 12 by 6 by 12 inches are allowed, along with small clutches and wallets up to 4.5 by 6.5 inches. Medical and diaper bags are permitted but will be searched. There is no on-site bag check, so anything that fails the rule has to go back to your accommodation or be left at a place you arranged beforehand. Gate times differ by event, so use the time on your ticket.
Getting there
The best group route is Metro rail plus the free Intuit Express shuttle. Take the C Line to Hawthorne/Lennox, or the K Line to Inglewood or LAX/Metro Transit Center, and board the shuttle there. For Clippers games, Metro says shuttles run every 20 minutes starting two hours before each game, and every 10 minutes for the hour after it ends, and return shuttles leave from the same drop-off location. Games-period shuttles are not confirmed. No payment is needed for the shuttle. Three bus lines also serve the arena: Line 115 to Manchester and Kareem, Line 117 to Prairie and Century, and Line 212 to Prairie and Kelso. Rail and buses use the usual Metro fares. A group that boards the shuttle from different stations will still arrive at the same drop-off, which makes it the easy choice for a group.
Neighborhood
Intuit Dome is a new arena built into a development area in Inglewood, close to the Forum and SoFi Stadium, so it is not a neighbourhood of cafes and bars. Plan food and meeting points yourselves rather than expecting to find something near the gates. The rail stations that feed the shuttle are the practical places to gather beforehand.
Safety & security
The general emergency number in the United States is 911. The common group problem here is separation: one shuttle drop-off for thousands of people, a strict bag rule, and no on-site bag check. Agree one meeting point and one time before anyone goes through a gate, and make sure everyone knows which rail station they came from for the return trip. Phone signal in a full arena can be unreliable.
Photos
The arena's curved facade is best photographed from the plaza outside before the crowd builds, and at dusk when it is lit. Professional camera equipment is commonly restricted at arenas, so plan on a phone or a small camera that fits the clear bag.
Local know-how
English is the working language and Spanish is very widely spoken across Los Angeles. Check the current payment arrangements before you travel, because many arenas here are card or phone payment only and this guide has not verified that for Intuit Dome.
Accessibility
Metro states that all of its shuttles and rail lines are accessible, with priority seating and ramps or lifts as needed. This guide does not describe accessible seating, parking or step-free routes inside the arena, because those have not been verified. Contact the venue directly before you book, and confirm the arrangements rather than relying on this section.
